Is there anything more bittersweet than the list of sad little items purchased at the grocery store by elderly folk? My word. I was behind this man yesterday at Publix (which was a raving madhouse, by the by) who was buying the following list of items:
2 bananas. (not from the same bunch)
3 little loaves of some type of crusty bread.
1 box of Little Debbie's Devil Rings.
1 greeting card.
It's enough to break your little heart.
